Why this site exists

There are hundreds of “free” AI courses online, and most course-rating sites are unlabelled affiliate funnels. We wanted something that tells you the real time cost before you click.

How we rate difficulty

Every course gets a 1-to-5 heat score based on four things: how much code you'll write, how much maths is required, how dense the material is, and how much time it realistically takes. We don't use the provider's own “beginner/intermediate/advanced” label. Those labels are marketing copy, not a consistent scale.

How we choose what to review

We only list courses that are free to complete, or free to audit with a clearly optional paid certificate. If a course requires payment to access the actual lessons, it doesn't belong here. See our paid options page instead for a separate, honest look at when paying is worth it.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. This never changes which courses we recommend or how we score them. Our full affiliate disclosure has the details. The cookies page lists the analytics cookies we set, and only after you accept them.

Updates

Courses change. We re-check content, pricing, and certificate status monthly, and mark anything we haven't re-verified recently.

Every course is scored the same way, so a 7 here means the same as a 7 anywhere on the site.
