Affiliate disclosure
The short version: some links here earn us a commission, it never changes what we recommend, and we tell you which links those are.
What “affiliate link” means here
A small number of platforms we link to (mainly Coursera and edX) pay us a commission if you sign up through our link. The course itself, its content, and its price are exactly the same for you either way. We only add an affiliate tag to a link after we've already decided the course deserves the placement it has, purely on its own merits.
What it doesn't mean
It doesn't mean a course ranks higher because it pays us. Several of our top recommendations (Elements of AI, Kaggle Learn, Hugging Face, fast.ai) have no affiliate relationship with us at all. Difficulty ratings, verdicts, and pros/cons are written the same way regardless of whether a link earns us anything.
Paid options page
The paid options page covers subscriptions and paid courses directly. We mark clearly which of those we have an affiliate relationship with and which we don't yet.
Cookies and tracking
Affiliate links carry no tracking of our own. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it; the cookies page lists exactly what it sets.
Questions
If anything here is unclear or you think a recommendation looks influenced by a commission, tell us. We'd rather fix it than keep it quiet.
